The church is in need of a secretary to prepare bulletins and the Power Point each week. PowerPoint and Microsoft Word skills helpful. We will train you in. This is a paid position that requires about 3 hours per week. The job is open to anyone youth or adult.

Semi Annual Meeting Sunday, July 10th at 1pm at the church in LaBolt is our semi-annual meeting. This is a very important meeting so please attend if possible as we will be making future plans for our new church and many decisions need to be made at this meeting. We will meet again next Sunday for the congregation to vote on these items.

Building Fund Rummage Sale

There will be two rummage sales on Sat. May 21 in Milbank. We will welcome any good, clean items. You can drop these off at Brenda Dexter's home at 805 4th Street, Milbank anytime or at the church the week of the rummage sale, whichever is more convenient. We will price everything. Things can also be dropped off at Noelle Korth's home at 902 S. Main Street, Milbank.

The Building Fund Committee is looking for volunteers to help with the rummage sale on May 21. We need people to help set up on Tuesday and Friday afternoon and to work on Saturday morning either from 7:30am - 10:30am or 10:30am - 12:30pm. There is a sign-up sheet in the foyer.

On Saturday May 21, Taylor Berg will be having a graduation open house from 4:00 - 7:00 PM, at his dad’s house.

Women’s Bible Study – Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m.　 Continuing study on "Women of the Old Testament".　　 Everyone welcome.

Meals Mats and Mix The freezer is almost empty and it’s time to prepare more mission meals. Since January 1, 32 Mission Meals have been delivered to area residents. Great job! We will be preparing more meals on Monday May 9 at 6:30. Supper will be provided. We will also be working on Mats for Haiti and filling bottles with Trail Mix for delivery to campers at the Dam this summer. All ages are needed to come on out to keep our mission work going!

Wednesday May 4 is our next Day of Prayer. Stop once during your day to pray for our church building project and for our church leaders. The church will be open if you’d like to pray here or just stop your car out front and say a prayer. If you’re not in LaBolt be sure to pray wherever you are this day. We see God’s work when we pray!

Thursday May 5 is the National Day of Prayer. There will be a public prayer meeting on the front steps of the Grant County Courthouse at noon.
There will be Building Fund Committee Meeting on Monday, May 9, at 7:00 p.m. in the church basement.

Confirmation for Rachel Johnson will be Sunday, May 15.

There will be a rummage sale on May 21 in Milbank. We will welcome any good, clean items. You can drop these off at Brenda Dexter's home at 805 4th Street, Milbank anytime or at the church the week of the rummage sale, whichever is more convenient. We will price everything...

The construction committee will be making new building recommendations to the council for the council to make decisions on. The committee is chaired by Sandy Berg and includes Brad Leonard, Myrna Johnson, Lee Zuver, Justin Rude, Gary Christianson and Pastor Mark. See any one of them if you have questions about the new building project

Lisa Peterson is hosting a bridal shower for her sister Stephanie Fousek at the church on Saturday May 7^th at 2:00. Stephanie and her fiancé, Dustin Boehm, are registered at Shopko and Target. Their wedding date is June 11^th.

Meals Mats and Mix The freezer is almost empty and it’s time to prepare more mission meals. Since January 1, 32 Mission Meals have been delivered to area residents. Great job! We will be preparing more meals on Monday May 9 at 6:30. Supper will be provided. We will also be working on Mats for Haiti and filling bottles with Trail Mix for delivery to campers at the Dam this summer. All ages are needed to come on out to keep our mission work going!
The Vitality Committee will meet Tuesday May 3 at 7:00.

A celebration for all area graduates put on by our church will take place at the dam on Saturday May 7. This is a picnic event everyone is invited to. Bring your Frisbees for the first round of golf of the season!

“Simply Gospel”, led by Bev and Lloyd Schafer will be held this afternoon (Sunday) beginning at 2:00 at the Revillo Community Center. Enjoy the music, lunch, door prizes and fellowship!

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes of Grant Deuel will be hosting a supper tonight from 5:00 – 7:00 honoring the five foreign exchange students at the school this year. The students will have a Power Point presentation about their countries and their lives. The supper will feature foods from each country and there will be a free will offering benefitting the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

We are looking to create a flower garden for Easter again this year. If you would like to furnish an Easter lily or other potted flower please have these to the church by Saturday morning, April 23. Ladies Bible Study – Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m. Continuing study on "Women of the Old Testament". Everyone welcome.

Holy Week Services: There will be a Maundy Thursday Communion Service at 7:00 Thursday evening and a Good Friday Stations of the Cross from 6:00 to 8:00 Friday.

The Stations will be a self guided service. Come whenever you would like and you will receive instructions on walking through the stations. Each stop will have a Scripture reading and devotional to read silently to yourself. If you would like to be prayed for, Pastor Mark and Linda will be available for personal prayer.

Saturday, April 16, from 5-7 p.m. there will be a pasta dinner served at the LaBolt Mini Mall. A free will offering will be taken. All proceeds will go to the Church Building Fund.

The sign up sheet is in the foyer for the pasta dinner. These items can be dropped off at the church by noon on Saturday. If you would also like to help serve, clear tables or do dishes please let Cheryl Leonard know. We will welcome men, women, and children.

The Mental Health Forum cancelled due to inclement weather has been rescheduled for April 11, at 6:30 p.m. Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse, Twila Mursu will share from her experiences to bring awareness and education to the community about the mental and emotional health. A question and answer time will follow. A light pizza and salad supper will be served.

Day of Prayer, for our new church building project. Pastor Mark is the first Wednesday of every month as a Day of Prayer for our church building project. He is asking for "drive-by prayers" in which you commit to taking 2-10 minutes of prayer sometime on the 2nd to specifically pray for our Council, Pastor, Construction and Fundraising Committees. Drive by the church, park your vehicle or come inside. If you cannot get here pray from home. "Now to him who by the power of work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we could ask or imagine." Ephesians 3:20

Adult Sunday School Classes

Have you ever felt lost when trying to find a certain story in the Bible or have been able to recall some parts of familiar stories but not know the whole thing? A second adult Sunday School class led by Cheryl Leonard addresses these issues. The class is entitled 'Basic Bible 101". Our first book is on the Old Testament and will take about a year to complete. Even if you’ve missed a class you can join any time!

Our second adult class continues with the video series “That the World May Know”. Led by Rosie Nold

Lake Beauty Bible Camp. 45 people are registered to go to camp April 1-3! Bring your own linens and snacks and everything else will be supplied. Look for the bulletin insert for more information. Anyone not able to attend Lake Beauty on April 3 is encouraged to take the opportunity to worship with another congregation of your choice. Join with the Body of Christ and enjoy worship together!

This is a fundraiser for the CHIC youth event sponsored by LaBolt Covenant Church. A variety of concessions will be sold at the event. All youth in grades 8 to 11 who want to go to CHIC must help out to receive funds for CHIC from this event!

The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be at Unity Square Tuesday, March 8 from noon to 6 PM. Appointments can be made by calling 432-4385 and walk-ins are welcome between 2 and 4 PM.

A planning meeting for the 3 on 3 tournament fundraiser for CHIC will be held at the church Saturday morning, March 12 at 9:00. Day of Prayer, for our new church building project. Pastor Mark is designating the entire day of Wednesday, March 2 as a Day of Prayer for our church building project. He is asking for "drive-by prayers" in which you commit to taking 2-10 minutes of prayer sometime on the 2nd to specifically pray for our Council, Pastor, Construction and Fundraising Committees. Drive by the church, park your vehicle or come inside. If you cannot get here pray from home. All the sales from these 2 days will be donated to the Milbank Backpack Program, which provides food to families with children in school. If you have never been to the Thrift Shop, now is a great time to check out the store and support the Backpack Program. Please plan to stop by Friday or Saturday and help support another great program in Grant County.

We encourage everyone to attend this informational forum to address questions the public may have in better understanding the promotion of mental and emotional health. Come and hear our own Twila Mursu R.N., BC. BSN. ANCC Certified Psychiatric and Mental Heath Nurse as she shares her experiences and journey as a mental heath professional.

The public is invited to attend. Pizza will be served at 6:30.

New Adult Sunday School Class!

Have you ever felt lost when trying to find a certain story in the Bible or have been able to recall some parts of familiar stories but not know the whole thing? A second adult Sunday School class led by Cheryl Leonard addresses these issues. The class is entitled 'Basic Bible 101". Our first book is on the Old Testament and will take about a year to complete. Even if you’ve missed a class you can join any time!

Continuing Adult Sunday School Class! Yes, we will be having two adult Sunday School classes. Continuing Sunday mornings will be the video series “That the World May Know”. Led by Rosie Nold

All-Church Retreat at Lake Beauty Bible Camp. Coming April 1-3, Friday through Sunday. This is a camp retreat experience just for LaBolt Covenant Church and friends. It is a unique new way for our church to experience, fun, the Word, worship and spiritual growth together. For ages 0 – 100!

DEADLINE COMING!! Mission Trip -- June 22-25, 2011. Plan now for a Wed.-Sat. mission trip to the Cheyenne River Reservation near Mobridge. This trip is for everyone, kids and adults, men and women, and will include working with a “Kid’s Club” ministry and doing house painting and basic repairs. Pray about it! Pastor Mark needs to know your commitment by Monday, January 20.
